Role Outline

The holder of this position will be responsible for the day to day running of accounts payable, Client invoicing, accounting records and month-end reporting as well as other ad-hoc tasks relating to financial reporting.


Tasks will include:

• Assist the Head of Financial Reporting with all month/quarter/year end related tasks.

• Raising purchase orders, inputting purchase and sales invoices into the accounting system, setting up supplier payments, and ensuring that payments are authorized and settled in a timely manner. Ensuring that accruals and prepayments are correctly recorded and month-end reporting deadlines for accounting entries / reconciliations are achieved.

• Ensuring accounts receivables are invoiced promptly, and escalation procedures put in place to obtain settlement of invoices in line with the company’s Credit Policy.

• Raise invoices to recharge Clients for third party fees endure these are processed promptly and settled quickly. Aged debtors are monitored and escalated promptly.

• Prepare reports to support reconciliations and billing of Clients.

• Reconciliation of balances on the relevant financial reporting ledgers are completed within the strict reporting deadlines.

• Assisting the Head of Financial Reporting with the preparation of financial reports, including management accounts, financial statements, statutory audits, and regulatory filings.

• Ensure that all Client queries and requests are resolved within agreed SLAs.

• Assist the Financial Controller with in-depth analysis and forecasting of third-party costs such as Banking Lite providers and Schemes.

• Preparation of ad-hoc reports and reconciliations to support the audit process, disputes and queries from Clients.

• Processing routine, correcting and revaluation journals in the accounting system.

• Any ad-hoc request required by senior management.

• Streamlining and automating all processes for more efficient working.

Additional Skills Required

• Knowledge of Finance, Accounting & Reporting requirements, including accounts up to Trial Balance.

• Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills.

• AAT qualified or similar desirable.

The holder of this position will be expected to pass the required background checks in line with the Bank’s policy.
