Role Outline

To lead the Finance Operations team on the day-to-day basis and manage the daily reconciliation tool. To assist and support the Head of Finance Operations in day-to-day activities and period-end close. Main duties but not limited to are as follows:

• Leading the Finance Operations team with approximately three Finance Analysts ensuring they perform their day-to-day duties.

• Perform the submission of the Schemes Quarterly Reports to cover the Head of Finance Operations.

• Oversee the workflow and be responsible for systems queues, managing allocation of cases and prioritising transactions and activities to deliver a first-class payments service for the Clients of the Bank;

• Ensure all Client payment queries are resolved efficiently and effectively, liaising with correspondent banks accordingly via SWIFT to close cases;

• Assist with managing the Bank’s Chargeback processes.

• Ensure all payments requests adhere to the Bank’s risk requirements and are processed within bank cut-off times are processed same day and value dates met;

• Manage daily reconciliations through Kani.

• Manage and keep updated Finance Operations Policy’s and procedures.

• Ensure all Client queries are resolved within SLA’s.

• Ensure segregation of Customer Funds are accurate and in line with regulatory requirements.

• Ensure all Client reconciliations are distributed to Clients within SLA’s.

• Provide cover to the Head of Finance Operations.

• Assist on the onboarding of new E-money Clients.

• Ensure a Review of Reconciliations is produced.

• Maintain and build Client relationships.

• Any Ad-hoc reports requested by internal stakeholders.

• Provide cover on daily Client activities.

• Maintain regular (daily, weekly & monthly) reconciliation and analysis of nostro/counterparties balance of banking operations.

Competencies, Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Highly numerate with the ability to constantly meet deadlines whilst ensuring exceptional attention to detail.

• Analytical and investigative skills for resolving variances.

• Strong communication skills both verbal and in written.

• Previous use of Oracle Financials (or similar) would be an advantage.

Experience/knowledge

• Knowledge of Finance, Accounting & Reporting requirements, including accounts up to Trial Balance.

• Knowledge and Experience in payments processing including SWIFT, SWIFT Query resolution, Payment Schemes and the processing of Direct Debits.

• Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills.

• AAT qualified or similar

The holder of this position will be expected to pass the required background checks in line with the Bank’s policy.
